Both Mole's Cottage and The Cottage At Muir Beach, are owned and operated by locally renowned interior designer Victoria Hamilton-Rivers. This is a beautifully decorated property that accommodates 4 people: living room - with breathtaking ocean views, 1 queen master bedroom with ocean views and en suite bathroom, a second double extra long bedroom with garden and ocean views and adjacent bathroom, fully equipped kitchen which looks out on to the succulent gardens, laundry and separate dining area. There is also masses of outdoor space where you can dine, sit or lounge and take in the sounds of the surf.

Spectacular succulent gardens surround Mole's Cottage making it the ideal honeymoon or ocean retreat destination for the much needed rest and relaxation that we all yearn for.

Muir Beach is within easy walking distance from Mole’s Cottage - you can hear the sound of the waves from the property and it's set in the spectacular surroundings of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area where the views and local hikes are some of the most stunning in the world.

The property has it's own private off street parking for two cars in tandem outside the driftwood entry gate that leads to the property. It’s within easy driving distance to Muir Woods, Mill Valley and other parts of Marin County, Stinson Beach and San Francisco. You can see the city from both cottages and watch the boats and ships passing through and the whale migration, during certain times of year. Dolphins, seals, otters, Monarch butterflies, Hummingbirds and other wildlife, are also among frequent visitors to Muir Beach.

The nearest local town is Mill Valley that is approximately 10 minutes drive from the property. There are stores, restaurants, banks, cinema, Sweet Water Music Hall (where local bands play) and more, in nearby Mill Valley.

Muir Beach has it's own local pub and restaurant - The pelican Inn. Please see Useful links for more details. Muir Beach also has it's own local well water supply that is regularly tested and drinkable. We have our own highly trained volunteer Fire Department too so any emergency response needs are prompt and dependable. In the event of emergency please call 911 and our volunteers will immediately be paged.
